Hull Kingston Radio is Hull & East Yorkshire’s most popular volunteer run  radio station. It is based at the One Business Village on Emily Street.

We launched on 107.4FM from the KC Lightstream Stadium at 0900 on 6th February 2015 following a highly successful run of test transmissions. The first presenters on air were Pete Mills and Dave Nightingale. U2’s -‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’ (Perfecto Remix) was the first track played.

The station on average broadcasts Live between 10 – 11 hours a day. We have some great presenters on board, some of whom are already well known to the Hull airwaves, along with a handful of fresh new talents. Hull Kingston Radio promotes a fantastic eclectic mix of music and a wealth of specialist shows that cover the breadth of music genres.

Most of all Hull Kingston Radio has already become known for its encouragement to regional music talent, from live performances through to tracks being play-listed. The station is also home to the only regional music chart dedicated to local talent: The Humber Number 1 chart.

Sport has played a very big part on the station since its test transmissions. We have live uninterrupted commentary of all Hull Kingston Rovers games as well as comprehensive coverage of Hull City, Hull FC and the local amateur rugby & football scenes. We have regular fans forums for the fans and by the fans of all professional sport in the region. Within the first two months of its launch the station had live coverage and Commentary of the FA Trophy final from Wembley Stadium.

For prospective advertisers & sponsors we offer real value for money packages that include advertisements produced by the multi award winning Engine 7 productions as standard … all at community radio prices!
